What to Expect

During your first visit, we’ll take time to learn about your pet’s health, daily routine, environment, and any concerns you’d like to discuss. Your veterinarian will perform an examination and explain any recommended care, testing, or treatment in straightforward terms.

We want you to feel comfortable asking questions. Our goal is to help you understand your options and make informed decisions without feeling rushed.

Before Your First Appointment

Please bring any veterinary records you have, including vaccination history, laboratory results, imaging reports, and information about previous medical conditions. A current list of medications, supplements, and foods is also helpful.

For birds, reptiles, and small mammals, we may ask about diet, housing, temperature, lighting, bedding, or other parts of your pet’s environment. Photos of the enclosure and details about the equipment you use can provide helpful context.

Pets should arrive safely secured in an appropriate carrier or on a leash. Please let us know before your appointment if your pet is especially nervous, difficult to handle, or has specific accommodations they may need.

An $85 scheduling fee is required for new clients and clients who have not been seen within the past two years. The fee is applied toward the cost of the exam and is refundable with at least 24 hours’ notice of cancellation. Same-day cancellations and no-shows forfeit the fee. Current clients are not required to pay a scheduling fee.
